Mechanical Press/extraction oil press machine,adopt mechanical method to squeeze oil out of the oil seeds, cheaper but higher oil remain in dregs. Peanut normally adopt this method,its process as:
Take peanut for example: cleaning →husking →crumble→ flaking → baking & cooking → press→ peanut crude oil
Ⅰ. Cleaning:
Use machine to remove stone, shell, dust, metal…… in oil seeds (peanut)
Ⅱ. Husking
Use shucker to remove shell of oil seeds (peanut)
Ⅲ. Crumble
Peanut is big pellet oil seed, before flaking need crumble to 4～6pcs.Adopt rod-toothed crusher can crumble peanut kernel and peeling the red of it. Red peel will separate out and use as raw material for pharmaceutical and chemical.
Ⅳ. Flaking
Use flaking mill to press crumbled oil seeds (peanut) to flake (＜0.5mm).By this section, oil seeds’ cells are damaged and superficial area added, easy for oil flow out.
Ⅴ. Baking & Cooking
Raw material flake through moist, cooking and baking, from raw material to cooked peanuts.
Purpose of this section:
A. cooking can let material (peanut) absorbs water, so the tiny oil drops together to big drops and flow out.
B. high temperature will inactive and kill enzymes in the material, and also kill micro-organisms.
C. baking can reduce moisture in oil seeds, so that suit for press. Phosphatide expand upon imbibing water, and some are binding to protein, thus it can’t dissolved in oil, improve the quality of oil.
Ⅵ. Press
Pressing process is use machine to squeeze oil out of the material, it is physical method. There are 3 stages: feeding section(pre-press); main press section（oil came）; cake section(heavy pressure to drain oil).
A. Feeding section
When feeding, material was squeezed, air and some moisture was out, oil becoming out.
B. Main press section:
Large number of oil was out in this section. The pressing chamber become smaller and smaller, material shaped and not loose.
C. Cake section
Press material became to cake, and forward integrated. Compression resistance increase, higher pressure is benefit for oil out from cake.
Ⅶ. Crude oil
After press, we can get peanut crude oil, after filter, oil is edible. If need high grade oil, should be refining.
